Tricia Lee grew up in Toronto and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the Film and Video specialized Honours program at York University. She has traveled to England to study Media Production for a year at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle and worked in L.A. for a year. She now owns her own production company A Film Monkey Production Inc. through which she has produced several projects for film and television. She has produced and directed a short children’s film Paper Tulips for YTV through the CFTPA Corus Young Filmmaker Initiative for which she won a Gold Remi Award at Houston Worldfest. She also is the producer / director of Humanesque which is making its way through the festival circuit. She has also worked as a field producer / director for Kids CBC.

She is developing the feature film Lost Souls which is based on the novel by award-winning author Michael Collins. She was accepted into the NBC Universal Development Incubator [WIFT, Telefilm] for this project. She won The N Youth Drama Pitch at the Banff Television Festival and the Kodak Audience Choice Award for the TV series Waiting in the Wings, which she is developing with Marblemedia. She placed second at the SUNTV Convergence Pitch at the WIFT Summit for her Street Racing PSA that offered mentorship to youth. And Tricia is developing a multiplatform documentary about street racing with SUNTV. With local singer Valerie Shearman, she is directing a music video for “Superstar” and turning it into a community project for kids in at-risk neighbourhoods in Ontario.

Tricia loves traveling, hot yoga, rock climbing, scuba diving and riding her motorcycle.
